Someone at work got a new car. My opinion: if you’re getting a car like this, don’t get it in black. It passed me going the other way on the highway - the black just blended in with all the other traffic. You could barely tell that it was a special car with cutting edge styling - it just looked like a bland black car - and I’m a car guy. Also, cardiologists make a lot of money.

Is it an ES? I thought it was the larger LS. I think you’re right. OK - I’m not that much of a car guy. And there’s one of those old ugly SC convertibles too. The parking lot actually gets boring with a gazillion Porches, Audi’s, BMW’s, and Mercedes. Few interesting cars - a GI doc has a pristine red 944, somebody has a Mercedes 240D, a ‘79 320i - that’s about it.

I have trouble differentiating that gen’s LS from the ES. I woukd have to see the rear to feel confident.

The ‘79 320i sounds like the most interesting thing there! Those old bimmers are great.

I agree, the white or blue are so much more striking, but some people desire to fly below the radar and are purely interested in the car, not the attention it might get.

Kind of contradictory desires. If you want the electric car without the attention - the Tesla is probably a good equivalent for the i8. It’s good looking but it’s like your sister (no offense - just in a familiar way you’ve seen before). If you get the i8, yeah, get the white or blue.

I guess, but no two people are the same. BTU chose the same color because he wanted less attention, but he had one of the first delivered in the nation and said it got more attention than any car he’d ever had.
